About Us & Our History

THE BRADY OPTION

Our mission is to offer relevant curriculum which fosters healthy adult-student and peer-to-peer relationships, self-knowledge, critical thinking, flexibility, and creativity so that students can effectively adapt to the dynamic global community.
To motivate students and encourage success, no Ds or Fs are given; teachers and students are responsible to ensure that the student is proficient through weekly progress monitoring. Students are also assigned a Seminar teacher who helps to establish weekly goals, explore career opportunities, and guide students in preparation for ACT testing.



OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Brady, we work with individual students to accommodate their diverse needs through modified schedules, shorter terms and blended learning styles. We work diligently to find ways to promote success for students, giving them opportunities to excel and finding new, inventive ways to work with the students if they continue to struggle in the academic environment. No matter what, we will work towards identifying positive solutions for students, giving them the best possible chance to thrive and progress within academia.

OUR HISTORY

Our work with students has spanned a decade. We first began in 2005 as an option school for K-12, as a model for expeditionary learning in the classroom. Over the past several years, we have modified our classroom and content to serve a high school population through a blended learning model. At Brady, working towards finding new ways to make school work for students has been the foundation that we were built upon. As our population and demographic shifts, so will we. We are dedicated to a past, present and future that remains dedicated to the students and their changing needs in education.
