Accessing the Jeffco BYOD Instructional Network
BYOD picture

The BYOD agreement must be signed every year by both a parent/guardian and the student to enable students to access the Jeffco Instructional network from their laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

Until these agreements have been signed, students will only be able to access the Jeffco Community network, which requires a daily authentication.

Step 1: Parent/Guardian Signs BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Agreement in Jeffco Connect

Path to the BYOD Agreement in Jeffco Connect:

  • Log into Jeffco Connect
  • Click on your child's name
  • Choose Agreements from the left column and scroll to the Bring Your Own Device section near the bottom of the page.
  • Read the policy and choose Yes to give your permission for your child to use a personally-owned laptop, tablet, or smartphone on the BYOD network. The page will update, showing the date you signed the agreement and your agreement status (Yes or No).
  • Click Next to save your changes.

Step 2:  Student Signs BYOD Agreement in His/Her Jeffco Connect Account

Students must also log into their Jeffco Connect accounts and sign the BYOD Agreement.

  • Log into Jeffco Connect
  • Click on your name (it will be the only one listed)
  • Choose Agreements from the left column.
  • Accept/agree to the Handbook/Conduct Code policy at the top of the page.
  • Scroll down and click Yes in the BYOD section if you agree to terms of use
  • The date you signed your agreement will appear on the page.

Step 3. Connect Your Device

After the BYOD agreements have been signed in Jeffco Connect by the student and parent/guardian, access the directions from Jeffco's IT department for connecting your specific device.
