Business and BUILD (Brady Utilizes Independent Learning Directives) Program
The BUILD program is an elective that begins term three as an eight week career readiness “bootcamp” where you will learn how to write a resume, prepare for an interview, network with business professionals, as well as other skills needed to obtain and maintain employment
Once you successfully complete the bootcamp you then can be placed into an internship during term four. We will try to place you on a job site that is of interest to you, where you would complete a minimum of 50 hours of work experience. While you are in your internship you would also create an E-portfolio, that essentially becomes a snapshot of your skills.
As a blended or in person student, you can take the bootcamp class as an elective during term three or four. However, if you would like to continue with the internship portion of the BUILD program during term four, you would need to speak with your counselor ASAP about moving to online. The only way you can participate in the internship during term four is by being online. However, we can talk to you about options for the following school year in regards to providing an internship.
