English as a Second Language (ESL)
The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) program at Brady Exploration High School is designed to help students improve their academic performance in all of their classes while celebrating their cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Brady also focuses on developing critical thinking skills and writing proficiency through regular writing assignments and peer review sessions. We expand reading abilities by encouraging students to indulge in a range of literary genres, including poetry, drama, and fiction, as well as nonfiction texts.
CLDE also works with the other Brady teachers to make sure that our students are able to see themselves in the selected books and texts.
The goal is to help students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and in their future careers.

Jeffco's English as a Second Language (ESL) program supports multilingual learners academically and linguistically. Teachers and tutors from the Department of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) use a range of strategies to help students who are learning English access rigorous, grade-level content while developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English.
