Onboarding for New Students

If you are interested in enrolling at Brady High School, please refer to the onboarding process outlined below. Please note: Until all steps are complete, students should remain enrolled at their current school. Upon successful completion of Step 4, Brady will become the student’s primary school.

DOES YOUR STUDENT HAVE AN IEP? IF SO, PLEASE SUBMIT A COPY OF IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If your student has an IEP and wants to be on the waitlist, please submit the most recent IEP for review to Melissa Shute at melissa.shute@jeffco.k12.co.us. Copies received less than two weeks prior to an orientation may cause a delay in acceptance, as it takes a minimum of five business days to review the IEP and then time to process the application. If not received in time, you will be placed on the waitlist for enrollment in the following term.

If you do not have a copy of the most recent IEP, you can obtain one from the student’s current school or the district student records office at 303-982-6715.

New to Jeffco?
You will need to create a Jeffco Connect account prior to completing the enrollment application. Important: At the end of the process, the instructions say to go to EnrollJeffco to complete the account; however, do not do this if intending to enroll in Brady, as option schools do not participate in the EnrollJeffco process. Leave the fields “School of Residency” and “optional” blank.

Please complete the application at your earliest convenience, as it is only available during the Open Enrollment periods (listed below). Be sure to complete all questions on the application and check closely for accuracy. It is important to provide a valid email address. (Remember, typos in phone numbers, email addresses, and street addresses can result in us not being able to reach you.)

Your application will be processed in the order in which it is received.

Step 4 - Complete Orientation Successfully
After your application has been accepted, you will receive an email with details of the orientation, a required program that must be completed successfully in order to register at Brady. At the conclusion of orientation, Brady staff will contact the successful student’s current school to notify them to withdraw. At that time the student will officially be enrolled at Brady. (This information is subject to change.)
Term 1 - June - August 8
Term 2 - Sept 1 - Oct 3
Term 3 - Nov 1 - Dec 12
Term 4 - Jan 10 - Feb 27
All applications will be reviewed as quickly as possible upon the return of the office staff from summer break (July 20). All details of orientation will be sent via email. (The special education team will be reviewing IEPs as they are submitted throughout the summer.)

If you have more questions or need assistance with Jeffco Connect or any other part of the application process, please refer to the FAQ video below, or call the school at 303-982-6722 after July 20.
